ViStart True Aero 7.5

Well, here it is! The best and most Vista feeling skin there is here! This is probably the best, or very best, of the ViStart True Aero series. There have been many impressive changes and most can be viewed on the screenshot. The changelog can be viewed below.

Changed ViStart build from 2699 to Build 2721.

Skinned and made the mouse over button a bit smaller for true Vista feeling. Skinned the button for more Vista feeling. Also, in Vista when you click on, say Computer, the button doesn't change. It looks the same as when hovering over. Well, I did that same thing with the button for true Vista feeling. You can see it in the screenshot.

In Vista when you click on the button that displays the Shutdown, Log off, Switch User, etc. menu, the button looks the same as when you hover over the button (unless you hover over the button long enough for the menu to open of course, hope Lee will add the auto-click feature to the button). So, I re-skinned the button to make it more Vista feeling. You can see it in the screenshot.

ViStart True Aero 7.5 changes

For all of you that got a registry error when startin' up ViStart, it is now fixed. When you click on Games, it goes to your Microsoft Games folder. But, that settings.xml is in Microsoft Games settings.xml folder. Copy that settings.xml and replace the orginal settings.xml.

Build 2721 details

ViStart Build 2721 is great build! It fixes the problem of ViStart not responding when the screen flickers a bit. And, it's more compatible with WindowBlinds! It also has a better sync with ViOrb. And the final fix which I found to be pretty useful was the Email fix. It fixes the problem of not opening Windows Live Mail and other programs. So, all in all, ViStart Build 2721 is the best build yet!

To install

First, you must extract all contents to any folder you want. Then, run installme.bat to register APITypes.dll. Then, run ViStart.exe and enjoy this skin for ViStart! Simple!

Note: This may be that last of my ViStart True Aero series as I have run of ideas for it, I may be able to include a nice blur on the Start Menu but it's quite hard to do it with Paint.NET. I'll see what I can do
