This is the original Windows Vista RTM made for Windows XP! I reshacked the orginal boot file from Windows Vista and extracted all the bitmaps and replaced the bitmaps from the original Windows XP boot file to make it look like Vista. Install notes are below.

How to install with Windows File Protection disabled

Extract ntoskrnl.exe to C:\Windows\System32 and replace when prompted. Extract ntoskrnl.exe to C:\WinNT\System32 and replace when prompted if you don't have a Windows folder.

How to install without Windows File Protection disabled

First, boot up in Safe mode. Then, Extract ntoskrnl.exe to C:\Windows\System32 and replace when prompted. Extract ntoskrnl.exe to C:\WinNT\System32 and replace when prompted if you don't have a Windows folder.

Note

Make a backup of your original ntoskrnl.exe before replacing incase the modded boot file doesn't work.

It's not working on mine. I replaced it and I still got the XP boot screen.

I'm running SP3 if that means anything.

Do not try it cuz it srews your pc and can't boot up windows.

I think it's a bit outdated. My computer just keeps doing a loop of this screen and something like "can't found autocheck. skipping autocheck".

This bootskin looks simple and great!
But I think it may become more simple and nice if the bottom text "Microsoft Corporation" can be removed.
